Zaatar

Zaatar is a spice blend dating back to biblical times, and there is evidence of its use in ancient Egypt.

While the ingredients vary from region to region, our Zaatar includes thyme, sesame seeds, sumac, and salt. 

Thyme and sumac are harvested, dried, shelled, finely ground, and passed through a sieve for better digestion. The toasted sesame seeds and salt are purchased from professionals guaranteeing the quality of the products.

This mixture does not degrade over time at the risk of becoming harmful; it loses its aroma. We package it in the Doypack® stand-up bag allowing good vertical support thanks to its rounded bottom gusset. This packaging is ideal for packaging food products. It is made up of a protective film meeting different requirements such as protection against humidity, light, etc. equipped with a tear initiation allowing the first opening of the bag. The Zip closure of the stand-up bag allows the opening/closing functionality for split consumption, or even on-the-go consumption.

We fill 200 grams in the bag; and we recommend a period of two years to better appreciate its full aroma.
